Artifact #1
I created this Classroom Management Plan (CMP) during the fall sememster of the SET program. This artifact provides evidence of my having a strong understanding of classroom management and it's importance to the learning process. It is a compilation of procedures, rules, and resources to be used by the teacher in the classroom. This CMP is a useful resource specially for first year teachers as it provides much needed information in order to organize and manage the class. The first school year for a new teacher is extremely busy with all there is to know and learn. Having the CMP prepared and ready for use specifically demonstrates that I'm better prepared, having the necessary tools to implement procedures, set classroom rules, establish rewards and consequences, and set the general tone for my students and classroom. As the saying goes, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." Having the plan in place will better prepare me to be successful in managing my classroom.

I conducted a Case Study during my Practicum experience during the fall sememster of the SET program. This artifact provides evidence of my having an understanding of classroom management procedures, specifically conducting case studies in order to uncover any reasons for misbehavior in order to solve and prevent future problems in the classroom. The Case Study below shows how I was able to develop a positive relationship with a potential behavior problem student in order to prevent possible disruptions in the future.
