Reflection
I am an active learner and a reflective practitioner who continually seeks opportunities that support life-long learning in my field.
Artifact #1
The artifact below is a reflection of my student teaching experience. This artifact demonstrates that I'm a reflective practitioner. The artifact includes things that I've learned during my student teaching experience, outlines my strengths, describes how I can improve, and also discusses how my experience as a student teacher has influenced my personal efficacy.

Artifact #2
I took a video of two class periods of 7th grade science at Fossil Ridge Intermediate. It was taken on April 11, 2013. The video and the reflection included below shows evidence that I'm a reflective practitioner. By viewing the video I'm able to see what my students see while in my class. I'm better able to make improvements to my teaching and my classroom experience after viewing myself teach for two full class hours. The video cannot be uploaded to this site because it includes video of my students. However, it is available on a SD card (upon request) if required for class credit.
The only thing that I noticed from my video is that I paced a lot. I think that I was looking to see if students were on task with their writing assignments, but if you didn't know that you'd think I was pacing. Another thing is that several times I had my back to the class or stood in between a student and the board and blocked their view. I'll have to brainstorm for ways I can correct that in the future.

Artifact #3
After each lesson, I reflect on what went right or wrong. Most days slight changes can be made after the first class hour to improve the lesson for the next four class hours of the day. Other times, changes cannot be made, but can be noted in my planner for future reference. I try to record what worked, what didn't, what took too long, etc. The following attachments of my observed lessons have been included to show my reflections and goals.
